Let me recount the story...
We started by WAITING for 189 to our destination at Ginza Plaza to try out the "new" jap restaurant dat supposedly serves good sashimi... well here we are walking on foot to Ginza from Clementi instead...cause we told walking serves us better by providing us an excuse to talk, exercise and smell the roses (pun intended!). So walk walk walk...
Sorry...shutterbug took the better of me...
Finally got to the restaurant. But. The service sucks! We came without reservation but there were seats (note: more than enough seats), Buuutt, they placed us on a table next to a walkway. I went to draw money first (nets not accepted...) and I came back to see an unhappy da. When I left, she requested a change of seats cause we are carrying lots of things and are cramped...but...the waiter walked away and place a bowl of wasabe on our table!!! To make matter worse, another couple came in and were given good seats...this is the catch...they were like us, without reservations. However, they were adults in formal attire...dats the difference!
It just kills our mood and we just walked out, ignoring the waitresses' request for our selections...quite bad, but I don't care, just recipocrating their "goodwill". It was close to 7.15 and we decided to head down to some pub restaurants down the road by bus.
Somehow, da indicated that we've reached and we got off the bus...but it was not the place, it has only one italian restaurant so we settled for dat.
Yup this is the place. It was rather packed and has good ambience so we settled down with a seat for 2...without reservation. The time was 7.30pm and we're looking at our menu...lots of good stuff and we ordered 10mins later. The mood was there and we're taking pics of each other, which ended up being deleted cause some "vainpot"/s didn't like the deleted pics. It was around 7.45 and spirits were high.
Dats da looking down on my NeW swatch watch she got for me...somebody more interested in the watch than me........
Anyway... we finally got our drinks at 8pm...to start the ball rolling.
Interesting thing is there is the couple behind us who came ( after us) and waited for like half an hour before anyone attended to them to take their orders!!! I guess that it was a very busy day for the restaurant and were seriously shorthanded for the day. So on that pretext, we were more forgiving. And so we waited...
Food, 2 appetizers came at 8.30pm and we gobbled them up, a seafood stew with garlic bread and a roast duck salad. It was very good...however...the main course didn't came for the next half an hour...and so we we waited again. We requested twice about our food and we got the same courteous reply, "sorry sir, we're very busy today! so sorry...!" Da was bored stiff, literally, and I cancelled whatever orders left and left. Time...9.30!!!
So, next time you want to have a dinner at some place nice...pls make reservation.
But overall I quite of enjoyed the day...!
